Good day everybody, just joined the site now. Found very interesting threads here on the 2L Te Toyota engines so I decided to jump in as well. I have a 1991 Toyota Landcruiser Prado LJ78 2L Te EFI. Recently had the engine completely overhauled by pro's. Brand new now. Fuel pump was also rebuilt (Denso 5B301), fitted new turbo as well. Now I cannot get the pump timed correctly. All timing marks are where they should be, I have played around adjusting the pump while idling but still no success. Starts very easy even on cold start but blows out a lot of smoke when cold and hot. Engine idles fine when hot but runs very rough when at a certain point when revs go up and at 3000 rpm's it runs smooth again but with a lot of smoke, more blue than black. I there anyone that can assist me with some advice on this issue please. I don't want to sell 'cause I have spent to much on it. Thanks in advance.
