Well lads new to this page,anyways im building a 2nd gen surf and just looking for a few tips im sure lads have came across already,ive a 1kz going into this surf it has the mechanical fuel pump im wondering is it possible to a run a auto box with this engine as i dont have much of the wiring for the automatic trans,it was a 2.4 manual originally,thanks in advance

I may be wrong but i think you need the 1kzte ecu to control the auto box if you have an auto.

What has the 1kz and mech pump come out of?

Hi rob,cheers for the reply the engine is out of a 95 landcruiser it was one of the 1st ones it ran 1kz with a mechanical pump,i was thinking it would need a brain to control it alright,il probably go the manual route!

Well, anyone on here with a 1kzt for breaking or might have bits,im after an oil strainer for the sump?thanks
