First Time Owner (almost)

Hi all. After years of owning just about every other decent Toyota going, I thought it’s time I tried the Surf. I have 2 narrowed down, both on an m reg, an SSR-X and an SSR-G gold.

Anything I should be wary about before I decide which one and hand over my well earned??

I'm basically after the same vehicle late gen 3 surf with an intercooled engine, all the ones I seem to find are the earlier non intercooled versions.

Cyl head. Look for smeg in the oil cap. Over pressuring cooling system etc. But its hard to spot. Minr drove 6 months with a cracked head. My mates 5 years with a cracked head. So hard to tell. (We knew mine was going and knew his had gone).

Check its been well looked after too and not a victim of its
own success
