Neutral Safety Switch KZ185

Hi all, i have owned my surf for 21years. She has been all over Japan and around Australia twice. The NSS now needs a clean up but before i enjoy restoring her to her previous splendour(that is, just driving her to the beach) has anyone done this themselves? Any tips to share? It appears the switch is on the driver's side of the trans.
