three men rent a hotel room for £30, in the morning the manager says to the porter you have charged to much it should have been £25 so gives him £5 to give back to the men, he cant divide the £5 in to three so gives them £1 each and pockets the remaining £2, so the men have only paid £9, times this by three= £27 plus the porters £2 = £29 were has the £1 gone?

Hotel received £25 for room + £2 to porter= £27

Becaue the £2 is to be subtracted from the £27 as the room was only £25. £27-£2 = £25
