            i did my work experience from school in Boots (the shop)... (god knows why!) (the photolab gave me my first taste of amateur porn!)... it wasn't long after laser bar code reader got popular....

            i stood bored shining the laser in my eyes....

            then noticed the big "DANGER-do not look at laser beam" sticker on it!!
            nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

              Most of those are there purely to stop opportunistic claimants from suing. A better warning would be "Hey, if you're too thick to use this product properly, don't buy it, because we ain't going to pay up if you choose to use it improperly and damage yourself". Or better still "Spurious claimants will be shot - warning, may cause death".
