    I never knew MUD could mean so many things.....

    Mud noun wet soft earth; a mixture of earthy or clayey particles with water; a similar mixture with certain added chemicals used as a lubricant in drilling gas- or oil-wells; something worthless or contemptible; vilification, abuse, slander, thought of as sticking or clinging like mud.
    Mud verb transitive to bury in mud; to clog with mud; to plaster with mud; to make dirty; to make turbid; to supply with mud.
    Mud verb intransitive to hide in the mud.
    mudd'er noun (slang) a racehorse that responds well to muddy conditions.

    mud wrestling wrestling in an arena with a floor of wet mud.
