  • PowerUp 2.4TD - Has anyone?

A lot of you might have discovered this article already, but I was wondering if anyone has actually done this in the UK and got ACTUAL figures for injector sizes, boost change etc?

2.4LTD Power Up - Brisbane AutoTuning

Be interested as I need my injectors cleaned/changed, and my turbo looking at, might as well ask the injector place to do a tune up...

I think you guess right. Think there might be something on the australian board about it. Not much details about what has been done to the injectors and the pump, however a good 3 inch to 2.5 exhaust and increased turbo boost will probably realise much the same increase as the turbo can spool up faster, exhaust will be more efficient and increased boost will help. However maximum boost before the ECU gets fed up and puts the engine check light on is I think 12 or 13 psi (maybe lower). Standard boost is 7 psi I think so an increase to 10 or 11 psi is a good move as long as the rest of the engine is in good order and so is the cooling system.

ECU should not require remapping on a 2LTE engine as it should "learn" the new requirements, you may need to wind up the peak fuel flow adjustment on the fuel pump (the only adjustment that can be made on the 2LTE).

Just fitting refurbed or new injectors will probably release some extra power as the engines as they come over have spent a lot of time in traffic and the injectors are probably clogged and close to knackered. £70 is a good investment for a complete set of refurb ones from a diesel specialist or ukcylinderheads.

      Cheers
