well what does anyone reckon then a surf convoy one end to the other we could get sponsers and do it for a good cause how many would be interested how many surfs could we get in convoy or am i bieng silly i thik it would be great feedback please people mark

We could possibly get in the guiness book or records for the most diesel used in pursuit of a good cause. Surely it would be better to work out how much it would cost in diesel donate half of that to charity and all go on a screamer with the rest

Lands End to John O'Groats is 846.8 Miles (95% Motorway)

If you started driving on Monday at 9am & stopped at 5pm
(allowing for fuel stops & food)

It would take you until Wednesday Morning to arrive
(or late tuesday eve).

Fuel (at todays price) would cost around £126
(Thats one way.)

Thought It would just give you an idea ???????????????????????

No your right, its just a matter of commitment thats all?

If enough people can get together and get sponsers then nothing is impossible, but to make an impact there has to be a fair few Surf's going along so everyone notices!

Imagine a convoy of Surf's (10 maybe 15 or more) heading up the motorway with Flag's or something on them, it would certainly make people take notice wouldn't it

its all very well , but how boring is 846 miles on motorway in 4x4's that are at there best in mud and dirty stuff ?

Now if someone could plot a route using 95% green lanes !!!!!! That would be a challenge

my thoughts exactly all with flags could have fuel companys name on them or something if whoever sponsored the fuel something like that i think we could get more than 15 notiefy local press do it propperly ued be surprised and could really be a good outing im glad well if anyone is really interested id do the leg work writing letters etc to see wot response i get from fuel companys and perhaps toyota themselves you never know

ANOTHER IDEA , With a few quick calculations , I worked out that if we parked 293,318 Surf's end to end , we could get them to span from lands end to John o groats !!!

So if only we had another 293,000 members to join in !

Could be a right laugh and great promotion for us. We might even be able to get some sponsorship off Toyota? I'm sure they wouldn't mind a chance to get one over L***r***r.
