  • Lost MOT

Was looking for some paperwork during the week and realised that the MOT for the surf was missing, searched everywhere with no joy so yesterday took it down for an MOT. Went straight through with no problems, just one advice note that the exhaust centre section is looking suspect but not blowing yet, the emissions amazed me as i do get the odd smokescreen out the back but it tested as 0.84 which is pretty good!!! Now the MOT is sorted and didnt cost a small fortune i have ordered up some arch extensions and am off this afternoon to look at some bigger wheels/tyres.
If it aint broke...........give it some more abuse!!!!!!!!
I gave it some abuse.................and it broke!!!!!!!

    That's good news.
Interested in where you are getting your wheel arch extentions
from and how well they fit/look.
Been looking for some for a while but the ones I have seen so
far look a bit cheap and tacky.
    Cheers Chris

The wheel arch extensions are coming from Milners, only seen a photo of them and i think sumo has them on his 1st gen, looked ok in piccie but will need painting to match the grey on the car, just been out and bought a nice set of 16" split rim alloys 8" wide to go on as well

If you needed a replacement certificate you should be able to go back to the testing centre and pay some cash for a new one [think abput £5-10]

I can confirm that you can get a replacement. I had to do it a couple of years ago when I accidently shredded the MOT cert with some out of date docs. All the tester needs is a rough date and he will charge you what he thinks is a reasonable admin fee.

Getting a duplicate would have been a fantastic idea had i have known where it had been tested last year!!! It was tested just before i bought it so havent got a clue who did it????
