Have u downloaded media player 10?
There are known faults with this, especially if the o/s is......ahem!!.... a not legit one..............I say no more

Thanks chaps. I have made sure all the boxes are ticked. In case it was corrupt I have uninstalled and reinstalled. It was great until I upgraded from 9 to 10. Now it's very fussy about what it will play.
It's favourite trick is to say it doesn't recognise the the file extension. When you look up the file extensions it says it supports, there it is on the list.It's only a hobby!
