It doesn't seem a lot of brake horse power for a big brute. Maybe I have been watching Top Gear too much!

Engine is from too late a car to have much power. You really need a pre 1972 engine to get the most out of it. However he's measured it probably with all the smog gear on in the car. Stripped of all of this you can probably release at least another 50-80 bhp without even trying plus loads more torque.

My old Camaro with a 283ci (4.6 litre) small block was running at nearly 250bhp and just about 290lbft torque, delivered in a wonderfully smooth manner with the torque really low down in the rev range.

Plus you can buy so many off the shelf tuning bits that you can release over 500 bhp with no real trouble out of the 400ci engine plus the bottom end is really strong and they run really cool when set up correct.

No, nope, nada, nein.. he doesnt need any more engines!!! He just needs to put some of the ones we have into some of the trucks we have.... then he'll have room for more....
