    any news from toyota? there is a discussion at the moment on the Australian web site thinking about getting one of the current affairs programs involved because at the moment toyota Austraila dont want anything to do with the recall. what do you guys think?

      No still waiting to hear anything, I chased them on Monday and they are waiting on Japan for further info. Lady said as soon as they hear anything they will ring me.

        A mate in work has just had some steering related recall work done on his Pajero. Any info on the Toyota recall yet?

                        It seems from reading this article that the problem is considered to be a Japaness issue - however from a description of the problem I would think that the same conditions exist here.

                        It also has to be remembered that most of our vehicles spent the first 10 years of their driving life in Japan.

                            To those have thought this had died a death.

                            After several months of phone call and letters, I finally got a recorded letter this morning from Toyota GB. Along the lines of

                            Following your recent enquiries I am pleased to advise we have now received the necessary part to perform the modification to your vehicle.
                            We would be pleased to conduct this modification on a free of charge basis at at Toyota centre of your choice.
                            Wohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooo ooooooooooooooooo
