any news from toyota? there is a discussion at the moment on the Australian web site thinking about getting one of the current affairs programs involved because at the moment toyota Austraila dont want anything to do with the recall. what do you guys think?

Ok phoned them again today, some story about an e mail that was sent to Japan and not answered. It would appear that someone then closed the case, which of course it shouldn't have. After several months of phone call and letters, I finally got a recorded letter this morning from Toyota GB. Along the lines of
Following your recent enquiries I am pleased to advise we have now received the necessary part to perform the modification to your vehicle.
We would be pleased to conduct this modification on a free of charge basis at at Toyota centre of your choice.
