Help ref how to test 4wd

Hi, I have just bought my 2.4TD (93) surf. I can't work out how to test the 4WD

It's an auto trans. I don't wont to play around too much as I have read on the forums that damage can be done.

Hope some one can help.

Get on some soft stuff. To test high ratio 4WD just press the button on the transfer stick and you will hear a click and you should get a green 4WD light up on the dash. To test low ratio, put the automatic gearbox in neutral and move the transfer lever to LOW. 4WD is automatically selected in low ratio. Select drive and away you go.


I don't know why I have typed all this. I just remembered Koi posted a sticky at the top of the General page entitled, "Want to know about 4WD?"
