And the headlight has gone and I have had a look but it looks like I have to take 1/2 the engine apart to get to the bulb is htis right??

Can somone help me please, I noticed 2 users live in Haywards Heath I work there so if I can meet with one of you perhaps you can show me or if you see a one eyed Surf flash me!!

If not can someone write me a dummies guide also what bulb do I need I was thinking take the old one out and get a new one but I can't get in to the headlight!!

Please help as it's getting darker by the day

          Hi Lottie
If it's the older type 2nd gen (non areo) you can undo 4 screws
per head light to get to the bulb with out taking the grill off
          etc.
You will need a long possidrive though to reach.
If it the areo type I can not help on that one..

L reg is the Aero type, you need to move the batteries out of the way and go in from behind. Alternatively you can very carefully remove the grille - remove the sidelamp units, unclip the grill (I think 6 clips) and then unbolt the headlamp units (3 bolts) and pull forward then change the bulb and reassemble.

              Cheers

Before you rip out the headlight have a look at the fuse. The 2.4s have a seperate fuse for left and right headlights.Maybe the 3 ltr is the same.
