Well it finally happened, the rear window has given up!! Not closed or fully open but right in between!! :
Got to buy one from Toyota @ £105 (I don't think that's too bad actually)
Mind you I like to know what the previous owner was paying Pinkstones Toyota in Newcastle for when they so say "fixed it"

What part has broken? I ask 'cos I made up a new rear window lift out of some salvage parts from a car dismantlers yard. And it only cost a few euro for the bits. Works as good as new now.

Yeah it's the same problem - have sourced a complete unit from a breakers in Wolverhampton for £45 so am going down tomorrow to have a look. Otherwise it's a main dealer job
