Rear axle

hi , I have a replacement axle for a 3rd gen surf , I need to replace the bolts and seal around the prop shaft housing I think there are 12 nuts holding it in place , how do I remove this so I can get gasket in etc , is it a difficult job , thanks

Are you referring to the diff casing gasket?

If so, you need to remove the diff by removing both drive shafts and undoing those nuts, then it should pull out.

They tend to be pretty stuck in though.

I used a Landcruiser axle, but the diff carrier is the same and interchangeable for your reference.
