A couple of years ago My 2nd generation SSRG surf started to give the indication that the head gasket or head was gone and needed replacing. After a couple of years of being parked up I finally got the head pressure tested last Autumn and unsurprisingly it failed. I was advised by a mechanic friend that it might be easier to change the engine out rather than change the head. Long story short, this mechanic has let me down hugely and i now am desperate to get my beloved truck back up running again. does anyone know of any decent mechanics around the Bucks/North West London Area that may be able to look and advise best step forward and anyway of sourcing a reconditioned engine?
