A surprise Christmas present

My Dad's got frontotemporal dementia and Mum and I look after him between us. He surprised me this morning with a drawing he's done of my 3rd gen

Well done him, very nice likness and like he said summat to treasure, (he's done it a dam sight better than I ever could), got the light and shade down, did he or was he a good artist before the onset of dementia?

He was more into calligraphy, and used to do the big posters for school and church, but didn't really do much in the way of drawing. That's developed as the dementia has progressed. Weird how the brain works!
