  • Hello

    Hi all,

Newbie here, just joined the forum and am looking to buy my first Surf.

Having done a bit of reading around the models, I feel the one I'd like to go for is a 2nd generation 3.0 td in an automatic.

I've noticed that prices seem to vary a great deal. Could anyone guide me as to what I should be paying for a clean, rust free example?

    Many thanks

    Hi n welcome,
1 advantage of buying an Import is 10 years use in Japan n no Salt = no or very little tin worm erosion. My first LN130 (2.4 manual) in 1999 was spotless n £4000 ish n after 6 1/2 years still looked good n is still in service by a member on here today.
    A spotless KZN 130 (3.0L ) nowadays =roughly £2000 onwards depending on owner.
Most Surfs are Auto's n the occasional manuals (as a are Forerunners)
Good Luck in ya search n Pics are compulsory

Thanks for the replies and welcome.
I've seen a couple that I like, both are over the £3k mark and miles away!
Is it worth travelling to find a good one these days or are they still in plentiful supply to wait for something more local to turn up?
