  • Powder Coated Gen 2 Alloy Wheels?

    Hello,

Does anyone have photos of powder coated gen 2 alloy wheels fitted to their truck? I'm thinking about getting mine powder coated black but would like to see how it might look first. A quick Google hasn't yielded great results.

    Cheers,

    -Tom

i am just re furbing mine, using stelth black spray paint for wheels, easy to do and not too time consuming. Cost about 20 per wheel

That sounds interesting. What's your process? Do you have any photos? I'd be interested to see how they turn out...

start by sand blasting ,inside and out.

then wet and dry, down in grades.a lathe is handy for this.

        then use Autosol,and hand polish.

Cool! I can't quite decide whether or not I like the factory alloys. I think they would quite suit being black but then again I also quite like the look of black modulars.
