if its the matrix you should be able to smell the coolant in the carpet and of the three matrix that I know have failed only leaked into passenger foot well?

I've also had a leak the last couple of weeks. I replaced my head recently due to it being cracked. But I have been losing water and could not find the leak. I had a small amount of water in the footwells but not enough to match the amount I was losing. In the end I bought a sniffer kit from ebay and that was clear.
I then borrowed from a friend, a Sealey pressure test kit. This found the leak.
You pump the pressure up to about 15lb / 1 bar and then look round the truck. If its not the head it will be coming out somewhere else. Mine was leaking at the Bulkhead heater hoses. It was pouring out! but It would stop when the pressure dropped. It must have also been running inside the truck to make the carpet wet. Hope you sort it.

I had it on my 3rd gen.

Check behind the panel to the right of the accelerator pedal. I found that the feed to my rear washer jet was disconnected.

Which I ruled out, because until then, I didn't know I had a rear washer jet.

I also searched here for a while and found that the aircon drain pipe can also get blocked and the result is moisture under the driver's mat. So I had this cleared out with an air hose and it's been fine since.

I do get ice on the inside of the screen on properly cold days, so I know the truck is not 100% airtight but I am putting this down to hardening window seals and such, as a 20 year old truck might have.
