when i first had a PC many years ago, i was setting up an internet account, and every name i entered was taken, so i used the "suggest name" button and it gave me 'star a', i have used online ever since.

Laser jock = American term for laser technician.

Which is odd really since I'm neither American or a laser technician.

Way back , when i was at school , a friend started calling me Sparky , reason unknown, that name then got reinforced by several electrical accidents , It has changed over the years to Sparks , and then when I got online too many people were called Sparks , so I changed it to SparX , By the way , the friend that called me Sparky , is now my wife !

Well, being a bit of an EX goth, i love black and purple hence the Purple bit. The Doris comes from our holiday in Turkey last year when a turkish guy asked my fella what my name was and he said (yeh, you're one step ahead here guys) "Doris". I first used it on Ebay and it stick - I actually wanted Purplecat or purpledog but someone beat me to it!!Great minds think alike..........
