Can anyone tell me if my pump is knackered or if I am being a knob. I have just replaced the head on my KZN130. The pump is a Toyota and seemed in good nick, nice and tight and no wobble so I decided to keep it. I have had the truck running on short journeys and the temp seems OK but the bottom hose is stone cold. The top of the rad is hot and the heater is blowing nice and hot.
I am looking to fit an aftermarket temp gauge and took the top hose off the rad when it was cold. I thought I would see if the pump was working and my theory was to start the car with the hose off and see if water was pumped out.
None was pumped up. Is this a knackered pump or was this test flawed?
