  • Number of body lift blocks.

Hi everybody! Ok, I bought a second hand milners 1.5" body lift kit, unused, saving me about a tenner. Milners supply 10 ally blocks but this guy has sent me 14, the extra four being slightly wider, 2 of which high density rubber. Any ideas what these could be for?
He added them as I've phoned Milners who confirmed they supply ten...

    gen2 or gen3?
gen2 is only 10 spacers, gen3 is apparently 8, so i've been told. one may be a gen 3 steering column spacer, but that would have holes on a pcd.
can't see it being diff drop spacers, either.not out of rubber.

It's a gen2, sorry, I forgot to say. I guess the blocks could have been for an l200 or something else. The ten spacers, which I'll use, are 50mm diameter. Is this a good width??
The four extra ones - two of which are rubber - are 62mm. Strange days. Bump stop extensions? Fancy pen holders?

Yep, the two extra ally ones must diff drop spacers, thanks! I can leave that for when I'm at a loose end as I've got manual hubs. The rubber ones are still a mystery...

odd. the lift kits i make are 60mm diameter, its know for the cheaper 50mm ones to punch through, on occasions. the aussie guys seem to experience this, and so the better ones are 60mm.
what the other are, are a mystery. diff drop should be 50mm diameter,by the same length, with a 14mm hole, through.

                Mystery solved. It's a lift kit for a KDN165. Bloody e-bay.

Scott-Lee, how much do you sell your lift kits for? I was looking for 1.5". These things are best done properly

actually i make them for Over Fabrication,in Westbury, wiltshire. they are 2'' though.Delrin (polyacetal) with zinc plated ,high tensile bolts (8.8) 60mm in diameter, same spec as the xpagun (?) kits on ebay, but slightly cheaper. £60 plus P&P. They also have the relivant steering column spacer ,should you want/need it. they also will fit the kit for you,and also have ball joint spacers, coil spacers and diff drop spacers. pretty much all you need for a little extra lift!

Nice shiniy things!, Scott-Lee. Any ideas where I should advertise this lift kit I got for a KDN165 to try and claw some funds back? Eccept for e-bay and their outrageous rates...
I only wanted minimal body lift so I could fit an intercooler.

Try the hilux pick up forum (HPOC), many of the guys there will have KDN 165s, it's the 2.5 ppick up.

                          Cheers
