Apart from trashing your diff, how was the actual day?
I've seen this company mentioned when looking at off roading/ green laning in the Lakes and it's just a hop over the border.
    Thanks

Really very good, lots of guidance and help. I really can't fault them, would have been 5 hours including lunch and the vast majority is spent playing...might be 10 minutes between the 4 stages, the first is challenging only in places, the second very easy (I think I could drive Kirsties CRV over that one), the third broke my diff but is really quite something (see pic from the top attached to this post, your about fast jet hight when they fly up the valley). The 4th I obviously missed, but I gather from the the chap using there car (he emailed me some pics this evening) it's less tricky than stage 3 but has some great views, mostly travelling down hill this one (I tried it in 2WD but couldn't get past the small uphill entry, slate/shale is very slippery).

      I'd go again.

The route I was to take..

at 23 seconds you can hear the diff go..

Get in quick I'll bet K makes me take it down any minute!

                Cool.
Can I sort out getting a courier to collect it from you once I'm home?

Very cool Andy! To bad the surf doesn't come with permanent 4wd.

Looks good Andy, shame about your diff going. Do you think it was ready to go or was it just down to the terrain?

It was terrain plus me....to much gas, snatching from the tyres, just way to hard.
I wanted to get to the top....

Lol, hopefully easy to fix ( have no idea of what's involved to change a 4x4 diff ) and back on the road again soon

As it happens I had it out last year to do the sump...pretty straight forward....prop, drive shafts, two large mount bolts, wires and VAC pipes....cross member bolts and its kinda out.
