  • Surfs the way forward! (newbie)

    HI there folks!

    I have just bought a 1992 2.4TD Surf, I think its fantastic!
I was wondering if there are any tips for a 4WD newbie like myself, specifically to do with changing the stereo. I gather that I am going to have to remove the centre console but am a bit worried about if the stereo will fit or not? If anybody out there could shed any light it would be appreciated.
I havent seen many of them on the road (which is what attracted me to them) but I think they look great. Are there any "must have" mods that I should get?

    Cheers

    Bruce

Sorry, should have introduced myself before picking your brains! My names Bruce and I am in Milton Keynes. I know the next meet is tommorrow so I am a bit late but whens the next one likely to be?

            Welcome to the forum m8.
I was in MK yesterday and spotted a surf in the distance, must've been a 3.0L because I couldn't catch up, plus I had the speed restrictor ( The Mrs ) installed.
Might see you at Devils Pit (just south of Barton Le Clay, off the Barton cutting- it will be temporarily sign posted).
            It's only a hobby!

Could someone give me an address so I can get some direction please, unless someone knows how I can get there?

Its ok, I found it - what time does it start?
