    hi to all
soz i know i havnt been on for sometime, but still have my gen 3 and loving it. tho i was a little span out this weekend on my trip to the west mids, when i eventually got there i was at a roundabout and when pulling out my truck was wheel spining, the when coming off the roundabout the back end slipped out, was raining all day and roads were wet, but i dont think i have ever come accross this before. my tires have good tred still and tire pressures are around 28-30psi. someone did say could it be down to hot wheels from the journey . anyways any help or advice appreciated

Probably greasy road, roundabouts do attract a lot of slippery crap from lorry fumes etc. My gen2 will drift any roundabout in the wet.

IMHO depends on the tyre type.

My work commute features several roundabouts upon which, weather permitting, I could slide on my GG2's but not on more road-oriented rubber.

Both brands run with very-much legal tread.

I'm not seeing much mud these days so happy to stick with the road tyres.

It's the joy of driving a rear wheel drive on wet slippy roads

I can get mine sideways just by putting the boot down going round traffic islands, makes for a little fun on Empty roads

Scares the hell out of the missus though

Same thing happened to me on Sunday.
I took my Gen 3 to Silverstone this weekend. The roundabouts between Syresham and Banbury were like ice - I put it down to a diesel leak on an earlier vehicle.
I was very glad not to be on my Yamaha.

Yes, these spin up the rears very easily in the wet, open diffs and rear body roll, the inside tyres breaks traction very easily.

Add a smidgen more power and it does it in the dry too... hence why I want an LSD instead of an E locker
              More Lift.
              More Tyres.
              More Engine.

Had mine sideways going to my local asda one afternoon. Got to love rear wheel drive and weight transfer

Don't like or want front wheel drive, ever. I also have a Dodge Charger with more than 300 horses, rear wheel drive and a Ford Mustang 5.0 that's rear wheel drive, the Mustang has an LSD fitted and with the right amount of power will slide out of junctions on dry roads.

( on private land of course )

True Growler.. but it should cut out a lot of the accidental ones when I've just tickled the throttle
