  • Ahoy there

    Hi there.

My name is Daniel, I'm living in the UK for almost 3 months now and I came from Brazil. First of all, sorry for my bad english. I'm trying to improve every day.

In Brazil the Surf is named "SW4" and goes from 93 until 2001 and afther that a new model from 2005 until present.
Mine was an V6 3.4 (Gasoline) but there's the Diesel versions as well, but It was very expensive there and the robbers love the diesel models.

Well, since I really have nice moments with the car I'm considering buy another one here, probably the same model as mine (the one who the back door goes up) and I would like to know how hard is to find parts, maintenance, etc. I'm very used to make some services by myself but I don't know about the diesel engine.

    I think it's all.
    Best regards.

I also had an Hilux 1997 pickup.

Here's some pics with his different "drapery".
I'll send the pics of the 2001 (KZN185) soon.

    Last days, almost original again.

    Regular action

    Why not in black?

    Glory days.

Hi and welcome. Don't worry about parts, just google Roughtrax or Milner4x4 who are good suppliers. I think you will see their banner at the top of the forum as well.

Hi Daniel. No need to apologise for your English, since your spelling and grammar is significantly better than most of the natives on this site, and way better than my Potrtugese.

Nice truck you have there too!

Karma supra, thank you. I really like that model.
Black Sheep and davejc: I'll search it. Cheers.
                Mudsurfer: thank you.
                Bogus: tudo bem.

Well, the pick-up was a Toyota Hilux SR5 1997 2.8 Diesel. But I've installed a turbo because the engine was really bad with the 33' tires.

My last was a Surf (SW4 there), I think the model is the 3rd G here with the rear door going up. and I'm looking the same model here, but I didin't find the exactly same body as mine yet, only older versions, but it's fine.

I sold this car for a friend when I've decided to move, If wasn't that probably I'll keep the car for life.

                Here's some pictures:

                        Hahaha, thank you everybody.

I'm felling a little brawl between 2g and 3g owners, is that right?

I'm from São Paulo - SP, I don't know if it's the largest but it's the most populated city in Brazil, around 12,000,000 people.

Well, I'll probably will get one soon and I'm looking forward to do some trips and know places and people.

                        Regards.
