    Once Ive got my new surf running right im planning on a pickup conversion after seeing it on here.

    Its been done before but ill try to take as many pics and updates as possible to help future builders.

    Was after a pickup but with prices being silly I figured this would be a great and inexpensive route to take.

    Plus you end up with a pickup with all the extra comforts rather than something that would be more at home on a farm.

          Good luck, Karl Looking forward to it. Don't give up

          Hopefully this is something started by the Scottish that's actually a good thing!

          I'm totally doing it next year or the next.

            Cheers guys.

            Looks all pretty straight forward thanks to the Info from this site.

            Only difference I'm going to be making is squeezing every last centimetre out of the bed. Looking at changing the position of the back seats and making the back window piece as slim as possible without it looking weird.

                I wish I could get away with that but the missis would have a fit having to drive into horse events with it

                          If you want load space why keep the rear seats? I got 5ft 8" in the bed and that was with still stealing about 5" extra behind the B pillar for the cab. Still have two seats {back seats are over rated}

                          Finish the bed properly or the whole project will look half arsed.

                            Absolutely correct there mate .
                            Especially for me as I had the priveledge of owning it for a while until I had to sell it, and the new owner ###### rolled it .
                            I've got a load of pictures of Stein after I painted the bumpers green etc. I'll try and post them asap.
