Not sure about the noise issue, but for the bonnet gaurd try Roughtrax. They are good and easy to fit, just remember to stick on the little button pads first. It makes you swear when you drop them between the bonnet and the gaurd otherwise!

Yeah, I have a rattle though I'm certain it's not from the brakes.... suspension or front anti roll bar, but not the brakes!
