My 3rd Gen came into the UK already fitted with 17inch wheels and 285/65/17 tyres . Over the years I found it almost impossible to get this size in the UK and had bring them in from mainland Europe. It seems that a larger customer base means that they keep a much bigger stock of sizes and brands. If anyone is looking for a particular size or type of tyre have a look at http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk . I've used them and found them good to deal with, Shit hot name too!!!
My new set of Toyo ATs came from a guy in the Welsh mountains who had a contract from a "local outfit" designing and fitting the suspension and tyres for Armoured Hi Lux pickups to be used in Hot, Sandy Countries. They spec'd ATs then changed their mind for muds.
Not sure what the trucks went like but they looked the Dogs Bollox!!
