The glovebox and bottom of dash under steering wheel comes off first and then the section around the gear levers and then the section around the stereo

I can't remember the site name, but if you type Toyota 4 runner radio into google search it should bring it up. Its an American site which gives complete instructions including photos. Ah just found it http://www.installdr.com/installdocs...pdf/869017.pdf

      Good luck!

George, you'll have to take a mirror with you to put next to the instructions, they are backwards....damn Americans....

              Rear speakers

Hi, does anyone know about the stereo output for the rear speakers? I have a kzn130 and have found the rear speakers each seem to have their own amplifiers. I have never seen this before and never heard of it. I want to replace the original double din unit but don't know if the rear speakers require a pre-amp output or will take a standard radio output. Does anyone have any information?

I replaced mine with a pretty standard jvc head unit.
All my speakers work fine. Just used the normal iso connectors.
Wasn't even aware of amps for the rear speakers.

Thanks for that, I will give it a go. I know it's a weird set up where the rear amplifiers also power the electric aerial.
