Can't put off doing the head now, been pushing my luck way too long, saved up and had to spend my head monies on a car for the moaning crow.

Decided to take do out. 5 miles to the walking place. Just got there. Temp shot to red then bang, top hose explodes on me. Bugger.

Luckily it's all down hill home so I turned round engine off rolled about 3 miles. Now it's 2 miles home. Think if I let it cool and drive it will be ok? Walking dog up main road now til engine cools down.

Head gasket
Cambelt
Head bolts
Rocker gasket
Top hose
Rad cap
Thermostat
Radiator
Glow plugs

Anything I've missed?

Along with the cambelt get the roller & tensioner, so the full kit basically.

Oh & plenty of tea/coffee......

My belt and pump is only 4 months old along with tensioner and idler gear. So just gonna go for the belt.

Do the drive belts and it might be worth having a front crank seal in case it's weeping oil

In reference to rad, would I be better off fitting the 3.0 one?

Plus I'm gonna mod the matrix pipe and fit a bleed valve in there as it's the highest point. Then look into digital temp sensor setup.

I fitted a digital temp gauge on mine & you would be supprised how much it fluctuates compared to the factory one.

Would be awesome ady. I definitely need one cause it's a prick to bleed. My mr2 is a nightmare but atleast it has bleed valves.
