    No worries.

Should be on the driveway next week-end ready for surgery.

Been thinking about spraying over the silver with the metallic green the same as the body to give it a more modern/tidy look, like Blackpoolsparks done to his dark blue 3rd gen.

It looks the same as this at the moment, but imagine the silver areas in the same green colour, would make it look a lot smarter I think. What you fink?

In the meantime, I still need to source a 3rd gen front bumper c/w indicators if possible.

Vince, getting paint to stick to the rubber seal between the plastic arch and steel body is problematic mate. I think it moves to much, Gordon had some issues with his.
Might look fine left original even with the plastic painted green and that would solve the problem.

I was thinking of using black tyre paint for the rubber strips.
I looked into removing the plastic cladding on the doors, but there would be a lot of holes left behind. I thought they were bonded on but they're not, loads of push fit plugs!

You can buy the rubber strips in black from Toyota...

                That's what I did.

Mine have been painted body colour.

I've also ordered the one that goes in the door shuts as its annoying me in grey!

Yes they push fit on, I just ordered a full set of clips as they now creak when polishing after they were refitted...

I thought the rear door one the door part was part of the arch extension.

I quite like them, they give a little more protection...

-I have part numbers for all the strips and clips if needed.

Probably a 2" body lift, don't know yet.

3rd gen's bay is longer and the steering linkage is a different set-up.

Im guessing that this means that there is a bit more clearance for the exhaust manifolds but could be problematic sump wise, with the 3rd gen having rack and pinion steering.?

                              They fit easily

A bigger issue is the front coil strut tops on the later manifolds... a bit of fab gets around it, all on my build thread.

                              2" lift clears things nicely.
