  • Blower Resistor repair

    Hi All

Need advice please, have fixed my resistor with a paper clip...now works on low and high setting, simply have used it as a jumper between terminals...

Any Electrically minded folks on here that can point me in the right direction of some resistors I can solder in to save spending £50 on a bit of curly wire. Just seems odd to spend £50 for a bit of twisted wire or am I the only one thinking this ??

    Thanks

The problem lies within the design of the resistor itself. The coil (resistor) relies on air from the blower motor passing over it to cool it down. I don't know if by using something other than the original part you might end up having a little under dash fire.
