  • LN130 Snorkel

    Hi guys.

I've had a quick search but can only turn stuff up from a couple of years ago...

Does anyone know the best place to get a snorkel for my Smurf that isn't going to cost a bomb? I've seen some ebay special's for around £100, but none of them specify whether or not they fit an LN130. The only others I can find that do specify the LN130 are around £250.

Am I going to end up fabricating my own?

the ln130 and kzn130 are the same.I did a group buy last year for the cheap import snorkels and the guys here who had them were happy with them. The ones i was sorting were actually made in a factory where the Safari snorkels were made and very good quality

      Oh right, cool.

Is there a link or a phone number for the ones you got? Or can you get them again?

And am I right in thinking that the 167 series fits the LN130? As that website lists neither the LN130 or KZN130...

LOL You really don't like 'em being called Smurf's do you?

Ok, I've spoken to them and they've given me a couple of options...

€125 + €15 shipping for the one that they make in house, same quality as Safari (allegedly...)

Or €75 + €15 shipping for a Chinese version. They look much the same.

Did anyone try the Chinese ones? Is it worth a punt?

Do you plan on rolling your 'Smurf' over at any time in the future?
If not, then just get the cheapest snorkel unless you're a badge snob, they all do the same job!

From what i've heard the chinese ones are crap. The European ones are the ones you need to get.The Surf ones are the same as the Hilux Ln106 i think it is (the one bud said about)
Before you cut any holes in the truck you need to make sure the template fits the snorkle as the template holes are normally different to where the holes should be.So just fit the template to the snorkel first to make sure all holes line up.

                        Cool. Thanks chaps.

I've got no desire to roll her over. Lol

I've ordered the cheaper one. If it's pants I'll have to buy another.

Thanks for the heads up Stormforce. I'll be getting someone else to cut the hole whilst I cower in the corner...
