I just got a new Surf with the spare wheel stored underneath rather than on the swing gate on the back door. Can I swap the back door and fit a swing gate to this Surf? I am not a fan of storing the spare underneath, especially when you need it and the lowering mechanism has rusted solid in a foot of mud in the pishing rain at -2degrees!

Read this thread by Budweiser who has done the job and also the other thread by Popeye who has also done it and which is hyperlinked within Budweisers thread. Should be more than helpful.Сви можемо

I will have to go look , but I am sure everything is there apart from the 2 metal reinforcers you need to weld in os D post. May have to buy some new mounting bolts for it as I had to clear out some stuff and I think they got chucked by mistake. As for cost , make an offer. Postage will be high I think.Rick...Member of 1st Gen club. ONE LIFE ... GET ONE !!
