Hi Folks, I'm looking to get my prop shaft extended as its past its comfortable limit of extension with the lift I'm running combined with the slightly higher transfer box position.

Has anyone had anything like this done before, and better still can anyone recommend anyone in the Reading/Oxford area that that can do such a thing?

    Cheers,

    Charlie.

I can't answer your question but is there any reason why you couldn't fit a 1" spacer block at each end of propshaft ?

Really ? I know they sell them for 'other vehicles' and can't see ours being much different.

I know the prop is balanced but didn't realise the diff flange and output flange of the box were too..

extreme changes in UJ angles can be enough to throw a prop out of balance.

A cheaper option mite be to find a longer shaft off another truck. I dont know where you would start looking but I know some of the Suzuki lads use toyota props and some of the US lads use various hilux shafts in land cruisers.

There must be something out there similar with a longer wheelbase.

If we were in the states I would suggest looking at how stuff like T100 shafts fit etc.

Slobodan, cheers, that's the sort of place I'm looking for, Postage might be a bit pricey though

Woodwarm, Cheers for the heads up.

As for spacers, I thought that at first, but it will increase the UJ angle (not by a great amount though I'd have thought).

My first choice would be to get it lengthened, so it is as close as factory as possible, without introducing any extra components.

Spanner Monkey, cheers, that'd probably be the best plan if I could just go to scrappies and eye out bits from other trucks armed with a tape measure (Land Cruiser 100 maybe), unfortunately I struggle with free time!

Well if I did want to go the spacer route...

These Guys Make prop spacers. I've used them before for my body lift kits and Transfer box short shifter.

                      It's a valid plan B I guess.
