  • Welder advice

I'm thinking of buying a tig welder to learn to use, any recommendations for which one I should be looking for please, I have a budget of less than 500, assuming I can get something decent for that much.

    Thanks

    Good quality machines.
I have an AC/DC TIG and plasma cutter, very happy with them.

Wouldn't mind one myself...let us know how you get on with it Rebel.

I couldn't see if that one does it, but a mate of mine bought one that did mig and tig...Just under £500 but I can't remember the make.

I'm on my second mig, lol. I was thinking that it would be better and cheaper if I could get just the tig torch to use with my mig, but as my mig is on loan to my brother for his VW camper, it's probably easier to just get a complete tig machine though and have the fun ( if that's the right word, lol ).

I'll do an update post of my experience with learning how to use it, if I get one

Yes the R-Tech machine is a good choice as Vince pointed out, i bought the 200 amp ac/dc tig from them last year and its a very good welding machine. They also come with a 2 year warranty!
