  • Back Seat Trouble

T his may sound daft, I have just picked up my 3.0 SSRX-Ltd and cannot lift up the back seats to lay the back supports down to create "boot" space. There seems to be no hinge, clip or lever to move seats. According to Japanese handbook they should lift straight up!

feel down the back of cushion you should have a loop, pull it then pull seat up,
there are then two buttons to pull on on the backrest which unlocks to fold down, remove the headrests first

Reach down the back of the seat cushion. There are webbing straps about 2 inches long that you pull up to release the seat. There are catches attached to these - they aren't just handles which is why you cannot lift the seat cushion without pulling these first.

      Cheers

If this is a 2nd gen then there should be a little strap at the back of the seat where the seat belts come out, you have to pull this to release the seat. If you can't see it you will have to get your hand down there to try and locate it.

Hope this makes sense and helps

              Pull it forwards !?!

Had same issue when first got my 3rd gen. The webbing straps must be pulled forward (towards front seats) as there is some sort of locking issue.

If you pull them straight upwards, they just don't budge.

              Cheers - JS
