Can anyone point me at a ball joint splitter or tuning fork that'll fit the Gen 2?

Both mine are to small and no amount of hammering is working (my wrist is still knackered from the push bike accident - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it).

Or anyone near Reading got one and need to work out some issues with a hammer?

        I use a Snap-on 24inch splitter.
Have you tried shocking the casting, theres a flat spot on the inside for striking it. Works around 60% of the time.

I found an old skool one at a car boot that fits perfect but before that I used a break bar and a club hammer.

I'll give that a try later...

Sadly I don't own one! Bit of an oversight there...

i gave up...and split the ball joint from the hub then beat the sh*t out of it in the drive...problem solved. Though won't be using that joint again!

                    LOL, no bar...many hammers...

Currently electrocuting my wishbone...it's very, very rusty.

Well, having ruined the ball joint..I mean 'removed the ball joint', set about cleaning the wishbone...surprisingly it's going ok.

One half electrocuted the other not...
