I've been Surfless for about 5 years ! Arrrgh

Now looking at returning to the fold.

I'm now looking at 1996 Gen 3's and there are a mixture of those with and those without intercoolers. Should I go for one with or without - and why ????

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The Intercooled ones have a few more BHPs but not enough to make a major differenceto anything, ( 143 as opposed to 130 rings a bell but dont quote me ) They are a bit rarer and therefore attract a slight price premium. Id go for the shiniest best kept one I could find and would not fuss whether or not it had an intercooler. Even rarer are the 2.7 petrols, and they are well worth considering too if a decent one rocks up in front of you

So, are the petrol ones as bullet proof as the diesels. Surely they are more susceptible to high mileage and more costly to maintain ???
