  • What's this then?

My thoughts were it's maybe a dump valve, it's fitted to the turbo plenum. It has a single hose threaded into the rear of it. The whole assembly is screwed into the plenum and if we delete it it will need blanking off.

So, is it a dump valve?
Where dose the black hose go?
    Is anything missing?

There is another threaded hole in the rear of unit with nothing fitted into it at the moment.

Could be a blow off (Dump) valve, but a recirculating type not the 'pishhhhhhh' type.

Can you unscrew it and look inside?

Yes, nothing much to see, just a shallow recess. I can take better pics tomorrow if you like.

its a bov, you can see the mesh vent at the bottom.
they need vaccum in the small hose to trigger. you would have to rig a vsv to fire it and trigger the vsv with switches on the throttle/clutch.
