Any of you fortunate to have a company vehicle?
    Is it speed monitored?
Have you been threatened with disciplinary action for bringing the company into disrepute if you speed?
I'm not talking about doing 90 through a school playground whilst trying to lite your crack pipe as your prostitute pleasures you, I'm talking about 1 mph above the posted speed limit, I'm curios if this is now the norm for such punitive action or just my company?

Seriously, does the 10% speedo error still exist. If so you have a little leeway.

        I have one...

The rule is, any parking or speeding tickets go to me. It's not speed monitored, or if it is, they haven't told me, which I believe by law they have to.

I hear that the back end feels a little floaty at an indicated 130+ in a 118d.

        Allegedly.
        More Lift.
        More Tyres.
        More Engine.

Vehicle I drive if fitted with Traffilog, which monitors speed, braking, cornering.

We're are also spied on with gps tracking.

All vehicles fitted with 8 or more cctv cameras.

Tend to ignore all of the above & drive everywhere at 25 mph.

Sounds like the person with ( small man syndrome or PMT)delete as appropriate has nothing better to do. I would say a course of clever retribution is needed here.

We have trackers in our vans but the bell ends in the office are usually to busy covering their own incompetent arses to bother looking too often.
I have been told 100 mph is too fast on motorway though....... I blamed Speedo error!

I think trackers work on GPS so if you get satellite jump you can get an odd reading.
I've seen over 120mph on my Road Angel before but have only been doing 30.

If they are using it for disciplinary action they are on very shakey ground.

Thanks for the input and perspetives.

They are monitoring ANY speed logged over the posted limit, and yes ANY includes 1mph over the limit.
A report is generanted and then the "speeding infractations" their words not mine are assesed and appropriate action is taken, as far as I am aware last week they recorded over 4500 "speeding infractations" over 20 vehicles.
                  I was guilty alledgedly of 4, 3 of 31 in a 30 and one of 22 in a 20.In a week which I did over 1000 miles.

Just to give you an idea of the extra time taken not trying to speed my trip to St.Austell of 191 miles used to take 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 hours now it takes 4 1/4 hours.
I was overtaken by a seriesII land rover today on the A30.......

I eagerly await the outcome from the first round of discilplinary action

With regards to the gps black spots according to my sat nav the hill past Clevedon on the M5 was taken at 110mph this afternoon, quite a feat when the vehicle is governed to a max of 78mph.

I suspect they will relax the rules after they see the adverse effect on business, just keep politely complaining.

A company I worked for went external for the vehicle fleet ( it was inhouse before).
No trackers etc. but if you were caught speeding you paid the fine etc plus you had to pay the leasing company £120 as an admin fee as it was their vehicle.

                        I am open to suggestions

Straw poll taken today amongst the engineers I have spoken with, have come back with
Speed limiters set to 5mph below posted speed limit.
No answering any comms from office during driving and now enforcing the two hourly driving welfare break of 15 minutes(paid).

If past performance is anything to go on someone will fall under their spotlight and after they have been suitably castigated they will move onto some other BS.
But they can now use the tracker evidence if anyone needs to be "managed" out of the business.

Not so much a work to rule, more of a work to suit me.
