fan belt oddness...

I've done a quick search but found nothing much om this.
I've just noticed the fan belts on the truck making a fair bit of racket so had a look and found one ok and the other really loose!.
They are both low mileage and replaced together so what's the reason for this?
Anyone else had this? They are roughtrax btw.

Yep same brand.
It's not just a small differences either one has about 1/2" slackl and the other about 1 1/2" so it's flapping around a fair bit.
Just crap belts I suppose.

I've seen some Dayco one's on eBay that aren't much more than the roughtrax ones so I might get a set.

Assuming that the belts are fairly new and have originally been correctly tensioned I think my first action would be to see what Roughtrax have to say
If they don't adjust up ok and came from a set then there may be other issues.
Do the pulleys run true?

The pulleys look ok to me.
The belts were running very slightly differently when fitted but have gone really duff now, they have done about 6000 miles.

I do about 6k a month.
