Yep, I've fitted a couple of the cheapies and they're as good as the 'real' thing. (IMO)

How about using yours as an exhaust?

Brian or Vince, could one of you please PM me a link to the "cheap" snorkels you mention? Presumably we're talking gen 2 here?

Andy, I doff my hat to you sir. After running a Reliant Scimitar as my daily drive for 7 years, I grew to hate working with fibreglass.

I think I'm gonna go all conventional with the exhaust and stick to using metal.
The glass has cost me £20(not including all the laughs you lot have been given) so I'm still in credit so to speak.

They go for good money it seems now....3 near where I lived before, doing the car show circuit in the summer...and I'd cut my head off if I tried to drive one.

A little more progress done today.

Upright has been trimmed down in diameter before being fixed to the base, and I have also chopped off some of the length.
Hole has been cut and trimmed in the shoe, where the snorkel fixes onto the wing.

Been busy cutting and bending and then throwing away cardboard whilst I make up the mold/template for the head.

                    Enjoy

                      Very very minor update.

Made up the form for the "shoe" where the snorkel will fix onto the wing.

Cardboard ribs to place the tape over and then the glassing can begin.
