Seems totally pointless to me....I find my memory lasts the few seconds needed to know what i'm driving over...and this will no doubt magically break when the cars 8 years old and cost a bundle to fix.

On the scale of pointless b*****ks I have just invented, I award this a 10.

I can see two possible uses for this.
1 to make sure they don't run over their picnic hamper or Pimms bottles, and
2 If it was rear facing they would be able to see all the Land Rover bits falling off.

Now, one that serves a purpose I can except in seeing a BUSHWHACKER creation underneath ....
In this case It's only a window to spot the early rust .....

I thought all Land Rovers had see through boot floors anyway...

                  Very good.

I had a series 2A many many many moons ago.You could still buy a pint for a quid, it was that long ago.It was my first diesel.
55mph flat out and steering that needed constant input just to maintain a straight line.
And it almost needed a complete rebuild even back then.

                  Such fun.

                      OI I resemble that remark.

I know a bloke who talked to someone in the back of a taxi whose driver once knew a bloke who lived next door to a postman who delivered mail to an ex copper who said I could sue you for cyber slander as apparently you hurt the feelings of a nickname on a forum.
