    Thank you
All the blocks are in and the nuts and bolts all nipped up.
Just need a few early finishes this week and the radiator drop can be done.
The bumper is in the process of being filled and sprayed, so come the weekend it should all be back together.
    Hopefully.

Good find on the letters btw will have a look
The valance trimming does indeed set off the front end very well.
    Gives it a nice stance.
Even more so now as I have finally done the 2" inch body lift...

I had the grille material lying around the garage.
I had a look at the satoshi styles mainly featured on the US sites and they all seemed to use the mesh type.
I seemed to be noticing way too many front grilles done using the mesh on vehicles around here and wanted to try something different.

I have plans for another style that I'm mulling on at the moment and also another front grille that I can dremmel.

I spent forever dechroming the plastic, this is a very special type of a pain in the ass.
If you are very very very careful you can use a blow torch to make the chrome coating come away from the plastic.
But if it gets too hot it will deform the plastic underneath and cause bubbling on the plastic surface, which you will then need to fill and rub down.

    Thanks for the link.
Had a look and the letters are only 28mm tall, which I think are too small, so onto plan b.

I have been considering this too, with the upcoming bodywork

(getting a full re spray, will probably stick with black but temped to go with Toyota "Deep titanium" as it looks rather good on the other half's RAV4 - I also have the intercooler bonnet which will ram feed the cold air box)

My choices were Satoshi Grille, or Facelift Grille.

    Facelift:

    or Satoshi:

My factory one has a crack in it anyway, so either way I'll need to buy new, the next decision is chrome, or colour coded?

    So
What would one of those run to

    Ie just T O Y O T A

In plain old mild steel no bridging between the letters.....
And probably letters about 2 3/4 high...
    Now who could do that?

I like the lettering on the red truck.
But my powers of internets has failed.
I can't find anything TOYOTA longer than 100mm
