Driver's side window - switch gone

The driver's side window switch is knackered. Do I just replace the entire switch unit? IE, is the board built into the switch panel? I ask because its the relay on the board that's gone.

I've never looked, but is the relay available from the likes of Maplin?

OK, so it's not the relay on the board. Replaced the switch with one from a scrappie and the problem is still there. IE, the window winds down but the motor keeps going. Then if I hit 'up' the window only comes up with some help from me and the motor keeps grinding on when the window is closed. Anyone any idea what the problem is?

Window regulator is worn out!

Sounds like you have teeth missing from the bottom of the regulator and the motor does not know when the window is fully open IE no resistance.
